Review by Amanda Cole

The Glen Hotel has been successfully operating for 147 years. For the last 50 years it has been owned and run by the Fitzgibbons family. The hotel has been remodelled combining the original cedar wood fittings with a more modern decor. The atmosphere as you walk in the door is a combination of a relaxed country bar with an upbeat contemporary hotel vibe. It hosts a mixture of ages but overall encompasses a warm welcoming vibe and is subsequently a great place for people to have a good time whether they want a quite conversation with friends or a fun contemporary night club scene.

The Glen Hotel is a beautiful place with a surprising decor including a lengthy poem across two walls. The poem allows patrons to indulge in the diversely interesting history of this old hotel. Large historic photos are displayed in black and white adding to the homely feel of the venue.

The hotel offers the Deck Bar where you can purchase delicious meals for around $10 7 days a week with reasonably priced beverages. The main menus abundance may take some time to choose from, as all the meals sound amazing and are mostly under $30.
